Hello Starflower,

Thank you for contacting us about this issue.

Your Ocean Grid has been successfully registered for several months now.

Upon checking the status your HyperGates, it appears that it has been quite a long time since they have checked in, and this is why they were automatically removed from the web site listings.

Have you performed the following instructions with the same avatar that you used to rez your HyperGates?

Step 2: Verify Your HyperGrid Connectivity
Simply rez your new HyperGate, then use it to jump to a second HyperGate, then use that second HyperGate to jump to any other location. The key is to use a HyperGate that is already registered on the HyperGate Network. This allows the Network to verify that your region is correctly configured for receiving incoming HyperGrid visitors.

Please get back to us with an answer and we can continue working on getting your grid listed again.

TheHyperGates

Ok, thanks. I thought it had got unregistered somehow. I have tried following those instructions, and others have also used those hypergates and then other registered ones, I'm pretty sure. I'll try this again. I wonder if it's because I removed the old hypergate and rezzed a new one in its place. I'll let you know what happens :-)
Our records show that the avatar owned the last HyperGates that were successfully registered for your grid is "Grey Ocean" with the UUID: af4bb3ed-3a9f-4e2f-9c2e-1a5d7a44e7f7.
Is that information still correct? Do you think that maybe the UUID of the avatar that owns your HyperGates might have changed?
I perhaps didn't realise that it *had* to be the same avatar that rezzed the gate, which wasn't mentioned in the original instructions. I've tried this again, so we'll see if it works in a few hours - thanks very much for your help, and I'll get back to you if not :-)
I have changed the wording, is it clearer now?

Step 2: Verify Your HyperGrid Connectivity

Hi, that's much better wording. Thanks.
I've done as suggested, but I've not seen my grid reappear on the listings yet. The UUID and name of the owner hasn't changed but it's certain that the UUID and any other identifier number of the hypergates has changed, as I rezzed new ones.
I believe that things should have corrected themselves by now, but I am not seeing your Gates as being registered yet. I will take a look to at the database records and registration for "Grey Ocean" with the UUID: af4bb3ed-3a9f-4e2f-9c2e-1a5d7a44e7f7
I'll let you know what I find.
Nothing has happened here. I did previously notice that, even when I was registered, only the first gate was ever listed. Since that was replaced, no gate is now registered, despite following the instructions about using the owning avatar to verify the gate. Would it perhaps be simplest to delete all previous records and start again from scratch? Perhaps somehow the re-registration is being blocked?
Yes, I know. Sorry for the delay. I started writing you about this yesterday, but got tied up.
Yesterday was the first day that I was able to take a look at the registrations of your avatar, grid, and gates.
Your avatar is now correctly registered as a result of the  Verification that you performed by jumping to a different grid and using a gate that was already registered.
The current issue is that your updated avatar registration has not been propagated to your gate registration.
I already started working on it and am about halfway done with the programming to correct the propagation.
I will be able to work on it some more today. Hopefully I will be able to finish it.
Hopefully, I'll be in touch with you again soon with an update.
Thanks for letting me know, and for all your work :-)
Is it possible for you to check to see if the UUID of your HyperGate is: 6bf04c32-a09f-49b2-a422-51fbddbcb651
Yes: 6bf04c32-a09f-49b2-a422-51fbddbcb651 is right.
There is also another one: 975e9876-48fd-4336-978b-fa7be5611d1a
Thanks :-)
Just a quick update.

I found one major bug that was effecting you and about 40+ other Gates. I fixed the bug, but I think there is another one that causing problems for your Gates. So I am in the process of hunting that one down also.

Will be in touch when I have more news.
I see my grid is listed again: thanks again for all the hard work, and I hope this has been useful in helping get some bugs fixed. This is such a fundamental part of the hypergrid today, and so useful to so many people :-)
I just found that last bug that was keeping "Annwfm" from showing up. I expect it to also show up on the web site and in the menus of other HyperGates fairly soon.

Yes, it is extremely helpful when people report bugs.  Any bug that is effecting one person is usually also effecting many other people. So any bug that is fixed really help the whole network.

These two bugs that were effecting you were critical.

Feel free to let us know if something still isn't correct, and thanx for your input and patience.

TheHyperGates

Glad to have been able to help a little :-)

Just a really minor, non-critical issue to add: although the Hypergate shows the teleport link to the coordinates of the gate, the parcel shown for the region is listed with the details at 128,128 even if the hypergate is not on that parcel - surely it would be better to give the parcel details that the hypergate is actually in, rather than a random one nearby that happens to be the centre of the region? In Annfwn, for instance, 128, 128 is not a prime location at all, and it's the parcel where the hypergate is that is advertised. It isn't an issue, of course, if the region is undivided (e.g. as in Caer Siddi).

I've also noticed that Annwfn shows up on the web site and on other hypergates properly now but not in "This Grid" on my own hypergate. All of these entries are blank. Should it be there?

Thanks :-)
Note also two typos on the front page, both should read "feedback" :-)
hehee, classic :)
